[...] Also DRI have finally gotten around to sticking up a video of the talk that Suw Charman of the UK ‘Open Rights Group‘ gave on digital rights in TCD several weeks ago, she’s a fascinating speaker, and was kind enough to come on Technolotics the following day. You can find the video of her TCD talk here. [...]

[...] Even if it were feasible, it would not be legal for the Gardai to follow everyone in the country as they went about their business, just in case they did anything wrong. Society, and its institutions the Oireachtas and the Courts, have rejected a police state. However, new laws passed in Ireland and through the EU now mandate that the location tracking information of all the mobile phones in the state be stored, solely for this express purpose, for years after they would otherwise be destroyed.
It seems that if you click on the Google Video page there is a little button on the right hand side that lets you download the video for computer/Video iPod/PSP.

Though if Ole wanted to send it out and about in bittorrent, I can't see any reason why not to do it.

Hi, I found this to be a very informative lecture and am glad to see it posted to the web for more people to see.

Is there a link to download this lecture to my computer? I find it a little ironic that you'd choose Google Video to distribute media content for a digital rights movement, but understand it's easier for users to access.

If you'd like help setting up a bittorrent tracker alternative, I'd be more than happy to help.
