What surprises me is the source…. I assume it it not the dally mail That newspaper has a serious right-wing bias , at least in its UK edition.

OTOH1 their raising the issue is interesting, I would assume it is not a required reading newspaper in the Dept of Justice.

OTOH2 The Dept has agreed with the UK to add another layer to the surveillance system, a pssport control system with the UK.

Very good article, I am still incredulous that there isn’t more awareness and outrage about these laws.

I noticed also today that the office of the Data Commissioner will be merged with two other bodies, presumably watering it down.
