You don’t need a Public Services Card (PSC) to make a social welfare claim.

Over on X, Citizens Information have confirmed that “You can apply [for a social welfare benefit or allowance] without a PSC if using a paper application form.”

According to their website, “The Citizens Information Board is the statutory body which supports the provision of information, advice and advocacy on a broad range of public and social services.” “The citizensinformation.ie website provides comprehensive information on public services and on the entitlements of citizens in Ireland.
